She was an instructor of freelance writing at Portland Sate University for ten years.

Liz’s book publishing and promoting career began by publishing of her own work, Deer Drink the Moon: Poems of Oregon, which was chosen as a Best Pick by Powell’s Books and named one of the 150 books for the Oregon Sesquicentennial.
